This is easiest if you're using numerical employee IDs. The formatting of the supervisor's name or identification must match the formatting of the identification for the same person in the employee column. Make sure your name formatting is consistent across columns.Each row must represent a unique employee.You can match employees with supervisors using numerical IDs or just names.All of the rows must have a supervisor except for the top position in the org chart. One of the columns must identify the supervisor of the employee in the row.You can use labels for the columns like "Title", "Manager", "Payroll ID", and "Name" and so on.The list must be formatted with the fields you want to show for each employee as columns and the values for an employee as rows.You can open the file in Excel ® to make sure it's formatted correctly. Make sure you get your data in CSV, XLS, or XLSX format. You'll probably be exporting your data from a third-party software. Before you choose either method, you'll first have to get your data (unless you're going to connect to Azure Active Directory).
